The Supplement Aisle Problem
In 2024, I spent 20 minutes in a supplement aisle trying to understand ingredient labels. Every brand claimed to be "natural" and "pure," but listed 15-20 ingredients I couldn't pronounce.
Proprietary blends. Natural flavors. Processing agents. Gums and stabilizers. The more I researched, the more confused I became. If these products are so "natural," why do they need so much engineering?
The Ecuador Discovery
In the Andean highlands, I found farmers who'd been growing Chocho for generations—6,000 years of heritage, passed down through families. They told me how they harvest, dry, and stone-mill the beans. No additives. No processing. Just one ingredient doing what nature perfected over millennia.
I tried it, mixed into a smoothie with some fruit. It was pure, earthy, filling—and I knew exactly what was in it. One ingredient. From one place. With one simple truth: nature doesn't need engineering.
The Realization
That's when I realized: What if we stopped adding and started subtracting? What if transparency meant ONE ingredient, not a cleaner label on 20? What if "superfood" meant respecting what nature already created?
Supersource was born from that question.
